Ampelpferdchen

So, sorry I can't post things in order. I went to Tsuwano to see horse archery.

This is a pretty short story (for me) because unfortunately horse archery isn't as exciting as it sounds. Like almost everything in Japan.

Tsuwano was hosting a horse archery competition/festival/whatever, so we decided to go. Fortunately, my friend was even willing to drive me. So I went out to his place and we all set out to Tsuwano.

We arrived in town, and climbed up to a temple. I knew immediately it was the wrong one because who has horse archery competitions on a mountain? We eventually did find the place.

Took them a little while, but then they actually started. It was pretty alright. Saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while and met a new loud Canadian girl (who I have already completely forgotten about).

Also afterwards we found an Ampelmännchen store (why the hell is he so popular?!), wasabi ice cream, massive koi, and some random dancers.

Here're some videos and pictures of the event (and the wrong temple). Also there was some kind of dance thing going on nearby, so there's that too.
